STEVEN VRANCKEN in CONCERT @ BRUGES on 21 May 2016

"Home-grown talent! Sometimes reminiscent of Wim Mertens, Philip Glass, Yann Tiersen, Nils Frahm, Arvo Pärt,... but above all always true to himself".

A special day, because on 21 May, it will be exactly 8 years ago that my musical adventure began with my first concert in Lier, in a small cosy hall behind the station. Music that I have been able to play for years in many places in Belgium, but also in the Netherlands, France, Mexico and recently in India.

That evening will also be a musical journey through my musical work of the last 8 years: new interpretations from my albums 'Into resonance' and 'Resonancia II', with references to the new double CD that will be released then, and with tasters of new music for a second album later this year.

Several songs will be richly accompanied by the beautiful voice of Anja Louisa Desmet (Keruna) and by that of Edwin Vanvinckenroye plus his dynamic & imaginative violin playing. There will also be at least one painting by artist Kristel Van den Eynden on display, which she made while listening to 'Resonancia II'.
