Claudie Saxe’s painting recalls a violent and mysterious self awareness and introspection. It brings the idea of the contrast between the light of a stained-glass window and the sufferance one feels while staring at it. Galerij8 is a gallery and meditation center that promotes “Soul Art” (visionary, intuitive and outsider art). Also known in France as “Art Singulier”. The art of understanding Soul Art lies in “the Art of Life”. In several countries, the number of art fairs devoted to this new art form can no longer be counted. And apparently even the Christie’s auction house has gone deeper into this market. Recently, Laura Hollick from Canada has held a Soul Art event in which 12,000 creative people have participated.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”909″ img_size=”full” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The Future is Female: photography, Katrien Orlans. Women had a subordinate role in society over the centuries.
In Art too, she was long depicted as a character in the sign of service and submission. Being prepared for marriage and childbirth. The woman was pushed into a role, the man often determined which role. For “The Future is Female”, Fotografe Katrien Orlans, strong women for her lens. All of them women who know what they want. Both the photographer and the model.

To what extent does the woman want to give herself to the photographer?
Does the woman play a role?
And if she already plays a role, how does she want to be seen and why?

Joris creates a near-death experience from the pure essence of being. This process means that his sculptures reflect silence and serenity. The smooth finish of his sculptures, his use of patinas and his personal style in general serve to emphasise the beauty and purity of the essence that is present in silence.

He tries to hold back his own thoughts, feelings and wishes as much as possible, so that he does not interpret the intuition but, instead it fills him.

Resonancia | Kristel Van den Eynden

The art works Resonancia arose from an inner experience. They resonate with what may be elevated. Each piece of art comprises an opening, a doorway, a liberation…. to detach from our societal conceptual framework. Solutions come about in another dimension, regardless of the form as we perceive it.

It’s about the joy of the inner child, the magic, the playfulness, and the wonder… What can be felt is more actively present than what is visible. The all-over compositions create space. The spectrum of colours reflect sensitivity, the loose brushstrokes create freedom, joy, connection. These paintings, oil on canvas, are the result of previous deep meditative work, accompanied by the music of intuitive pianist Steven Vrancken.

He plays with silence and movement, zooms in and keeps a distance, observes natural phenomena and reflects the constantly changing light.

Details fade into the space and create a sense of infinity.
The all-over compositions depict a tangible ambience.
